Job Title: Educational and Adventure Trip Guide

Job Overview: Moshe Travel is seeking experienced and knowledgeable guides with a background in secondary and post-secondary education to curate immersive cultural, educational, and adventurous trips to Africa for customers ranging from animated high school and college students trying to earn credits  to sedulous professionals looking for a unique getaway. As an Educational and Adventure Trip Guide, you will play a pivotal role in creating enriching travel experiences for customers with cultural exploration and adventure. Your expertise will help in fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for the diverse heritage, history, and natural wonders of Africa.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Integration:

• Collaborate with Lead Guide and other trip guides to align the trip itinerary with the Moshe Travel curricula, ensuring educational, cultural and Restfulness objectives are met through experiential learning.
• Develop and incorporate engaging educational activities, workshops, and discussions related to African history, culture, wildlife, and sustainable development.

Cultural Immersion:

• Lead visits to historical sites, museums, cultural events, and interactions with local communities to provide participants with a profound cultural immersion experience.
• Facilitate discussions and reflections to deepen participants’ understanding of African cultures, traditions, and contemporary issues.

Adventure and Exploration:

• Lead adventurous activities such as wildlife safaris, hiking, river rafting, and eco-tours, promoting environmental awareness and appreciation for Africa’s natural beauty.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during all adventurous activities, adhering to established safety protocols.

Logistical Coordination:

• Follow and execute all logistical aspects of the trip itinerary, including transportation, accommodations, meals, and activity bookings, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for participants.
• Provide pre-trip orientation sessions and distribute detailed itineraries to participants, addressing any queries and concerns.

Expert Guidance:

• Deliver Moshe Travel informative and engaging presentations about African history, culture, and wildlife to enhance participants’ knowledge and appreciation.
• Foster meaningful discussions and encourage participants to critically analyze and reflect upon their experiences.

Networking and Relationship Building:

• Build and maintain relationships with local educators, scholars, and community leaders in Africa to facilitate educational collaborations and enrich the participants’ learning experience.
• Act as a liaison between participants and local communities, ensuring respectful and mutually beneficial interactions.

Qualifications:

• Believe in and have the ability to provide excellent customer services to our customers
• Teaching experience in K-12 schools or higher education institutions, preferably with a focus on African studies or related subjects. Retired teachers and professors are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience leading educational or cultural trips, especially to African destinations, is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and age groups.
• Proficiency in multiple languages, especially local African languages (desired but not mandatory).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Cultural Studies, Anthropology, or related field.
